Robert Michler, MD is an internationally acclaimed heart surgeon who specializes in complex heart surgery, aortic and mitral valve repair, and management of the failing heart. He has lived in Greenwich, CT for over 30 years.

Dr. Michler has focused his career on the development of new knowledge and surgical techniques for the treatment of complex heart disease. Dr. Michler lectures extensively, both nationally and abroad, is a regular expert opinion author and has provided regular commentary to NBC Nightly News, The New York Times and The Wall Street Journal. Dr. Michler is a frequent contributor to the finest medical journals including The New England Journal of Medicine and he has long been an NIH-funded investigator.

McEvoy, MD, provides comprehensive breast surgery care using minimally invasive and oncoplastic techniques to achieve cosmetically optimal outcomes. A graduate of Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Dr. McEvoy completed a two-year clinical research fellowship at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center followed by a breast surgical oncology fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard’s teaching hospital.

Dominique M. Jan, MD, is an accomplished, internationally trained pediatric surgeon with specialization in the gastrointestinal tract, hepatobiliary disease and biliary atresia, tumors in children, and management of organ failure, providing expert care with excellent outcomes.

After receiving his medical education at Pierre and Marie Curie University in Paris, he completed his internship and residency in general surgery with special training in pediatric surgery at the Assistance publique–Hôpitaux de Paris. He fulfilled fellowship training in pediatric surgery at the Hôpital Necker–Enfants Malades in Paris and is board certified by the French boards for general surgery and pediatric surgery.

A pioneer in intestinal transplant, Dr. Jan has published and presented more than 100 articles in the areas of pediatric transplantation of the small bowel, liver and kidney. He is a member of numerous leading international professional societies and has provided his skills internationally in mobile health from Africa to the Middle East, working with United Surgeons for Children.

Steven H. Borenstein MD, specializes in surgical oncology, minimally invasive surgery and neonatal surgery.

After earning his Bachelor of Science at McGill University, Dr. Borenstein pursued his medical education at Dalhousie University. He completed his residency in general surgery at the University of Toronto, during which he was engaged in research on neonatal models of transplantation tolerance and received his PhD with the University of Toronto’s Institute of Medical Science. Dr. Borenstein continued his clinical training with the University of Toronto and completed a fellowship in pediatric general surgery at The Hospital for Sick Children.

Dr. Borenstein has been a co-author on many peer-reviewed articles exploring a variety of problems in pediatric surgery such as malrotation, Hirschsprung’s disease and intussusception. He is a fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.

Lipsitz, MD, provides expert care for the full range of vascular concerns, including aortic aneurysm repair, aortic dissection, carotid artery disease and stroke prevention, limb salvage and treatment of arterial diseases in the legs as well as varicose veins. He has particular expertise in endovascular and open treatments for aneurysms and peripheral arterial disease.

A medical graduate of Columbia University, Dr. Lipsitz completed his general surgery residency at the Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center with a research fellowship in Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO) therapy, for which he received the Blakemore Prize for Outstanding Surgical Research. He completed his vascular surgery fellowship at Einstein.

Dr. Lipsitz is active in research and innovation. He has published more than 110 papers in scientific journals and over 40 book chapters. His research in peripheral vascular disease helped popularize the minimally invasive technique of subintimal angioplasty in the U.S.

Jeffrey E. Indes, MD is an expert vascular surgeon specializing in the treatment of venous disease, thoracic aortic aneurysm, abdominal aortic aneurysms, carotid artery disease, peripheral artery disease, limb salvage and varicose veins.

Dr. Indes completed his Doctor of Medicine in 2001 at Mount Sinai School of Medicine, graduating with distinction in research. He completed his internship and residency in general surgery at Temple University Hospital from 2001 to 2006, acting as Chief Resident in surgery in his final year. He then completed a fellowship in vascular surgery at Einstein in 2008.

Widely published in nationally and internationally recognized vascular surgery journals, Dr. Indes is also on the editorial boards of several journals, including Aorta, Annals of Vascular Medicine and Surgery and Pulsus Journal of Surgical Research. He has lived and practiced in Connecticut for more than a decade, with previous roles as Associate Professor of Surgery at Yale School of Medicine and Chief of Vascular and Endovascular Surgery at UConn Health.
